Percutaneus coronary interventions (PCI)

PCI or coronary stenting is a modern minimally invasive procedure, during which a thin mesh frame is placed inside the vessel. It supports the vessel walls and prevents it from narrowing, which ensures the restoration and maintenance of normal blood flow.

When is it necessary to conduct

Indications for balloon angioplasty and stenting of coronary vessels are determined by your physician, it can be:

  • Attacks of angina pectoris at rest or exertion even with drug treatment
  • Early post-infarction angina pectoris
  • Unstable angina
  • Acute myocardial infarction

Indication for stenting is always determined by coronary angiography.

Life after coronary stenting
